What We Do

We provide education awards to hundreds of Americans of all ages and backgrounds in exchange for a year or two of community service. Our members serve throughout the city of St. Louis addressing critical needs in the areas of education and public safety. Our members:

• Tutor elementary school children in literacy, including computer usage

• Recruit and train volunteers as mentors and tutors

• Provide immediate and long-term relief in areas affected by natural disasters

• Take part in joint efforts to revitalize neighborhoods and the city environment

• Restore Missouri forests and riverways

• Involve youth in developing neighborhood solutions to community problems

• Train young teens in conflict resolution

• Participate as an emergency responder to forest fires

• Create safe places for children through after-school programming
